Freezing / thawing of seafood

When it comes to seafood, it is important to know the basic rules of freezing / thawing, as this helps to preserve the products for a long time and, consequently, can affect your health.
When freezing seafood, it is necessary to preserve their taste, the maximum useful properties to enrich your body. To begin with, we note three main methods of freezing the discussed products - slow freezing (0.5 cm / h), accelerated freezing (0.5-3 cm / h), fast freezing (3-10 cm / h). For seafood, the best third way is quick freezing, because it helps to preserve the maximum taste.
Before the freezing process, to form a thin crust, the raw material is placed in cold water. It is then removed and cooled. Medium and small products are selected and divided into several parts. Then the seafood is placed in cardboard boxes, which are equipped with a thermal layer.
The defrosting process is also no less important. Therefore, you need to follow the basic recommendations.
Defrosting a sea cocktail. This is a set of seafood that includes shrimp, squid, mussels. It can be thawed in two ways - after thawing, drain the water and fry them for a few minutes, stirring, or put frozen on a hot pan and fry until the moisture evaporates.
Defrosting of scallops. This process requires a delicate approach. It is best to fill them with cold milk. Then leave in this state for a while.
Defrosting shrimp. An easy way is to fill them with cold water, or, if you do not have time, you can immediately throw them in boiling water.
Thawing of mussels. Mussels without mussels can be used for cooking immediately after thawing, and mussels that have recently been frozen can be cooked immediately.
